Snake Plissken Quintet was one of San Francisco's premier funk jazz jam bands from 2008-2010. They forged a sound based on the funk of The Meters and Galactic, infused with the rock of Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana, and steeped in the jazz of Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, and Billy Cobham. This band was playing the music that they love and it came across big time at the shows. Fans of funk, fusion, groove jazz, and straight up rock will all agree that this is one bad ass band of brothers.
